The invention relates to medicine, to methods for modeling insulin resistance (IR) in preclinical studies. The development of an experimental IR model makes it possible to study the issues of the early development of metabolic syndrome, as well as the early diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). This experimental model can be used in experimental pharmacology, endocrinology, pathophysiology to study the mechanisms of development of type 2 diabetes in dynamics, as well as to track the involvement of other metabolic disorders in the pathological process.It may also underlie the development of new antidiabetic, metabolism-correcting drugs with targeted therapeutic action.
