Safety helmet system for monitoring wireless location and environmental conditions, for detection of emergency situations in subway mining

The present invention seeks to improve the security in underground mining through the implementation of safety helmet system.
This system can monitor wireless location and environmental parameters, which define the working safety conditions, and it is defined through two main components, the first one is the Wireless Transmission and Location System (WTLS), and the second one is the Embedded Monitoring Unit (EMU).
The WTLS consist of at least two static communication modules and one embedded in the EMU which implement Zigbee, Wi-Fi or both communication protocols to implement the wireless localization and communication functions.
The EMU consist of at least one of the following sensor and detectors: temperature sensor (1.1), air quality sensor (1.2), humidity sensor (1.3), carbon monoxide sensor (1.4), shock and faint detector (1.5), helmet detector on (1.6) and the mentioned Wireless Transmission and Location Module (1.7). Also consist of a backup power unit (1.8) and a controller (1.9) that process all data.
See the attached figures to visualize the numerical reference of the EMU components.
